How to get the perfect Aerial Photograph

I need to get the perfect aerial photograph.

What time of day should I shoot it? ????

When I started learning photography, I was always taught that dusk or dawn was usually the best time to take beautiful photos.

However, when it comes to aerial photography there are a number of other things to consider.

Most of our clients require well-lit photos of their properties, so we shoot most sites between 10 AM and 2 PM.

This is when the sun is at its highest, resulting in fewer shadows.

This also happens to be when commuter air traffic is lower, which results in fewer delays while we’re shooting.

This can change though depending on the type of photography a client is looking for. For example, sometimes a project requires a certain mood or a more lifestyle outcome, in which case dawn or dusk might be better.

These times provide the best opportunities for beautiful golden hour photography.

The only problem is there’s also more air traffic, which can result in some delays and a higher cost for the project.

In the end, it really comes down to the type of shot you’re looking for.

So weigh the pros and cons of each time and decide what strategy will work best with your project.
